Short description

• Half-day tour in the swamp (2h)
• One full day tour (4-5h) at UNESCO Geopark in Manamansalo
• Canoeing tour
• Day at the lake with sauna, swimming, canoeing, fishing, lunch at campfire barbecue
• All tours are guided
• Size of group: 2-8 persons
• 7 days, 6 nights (Saturday – Friday)

Season: July-August

Day by day

1. day: Welcome to Nature Point Paljakka! After dinner you get first information’s about Nature Point and your stay. After dinner the long summer night is inviting you to a late evening walk in nature.
2. day: In the morning we’ll make a hike in a swamp. If we are lucky we can pick some cloud berries or cranberries. (duration about 2h) The beautiful swamp is surrounded by ancient spruce forest, offering a peaceful retreat into a world that has existed for generations. Lunch is served at NPP. In the afternoon you will have free time to explore the nature by your own.
3. day: Today we walk to one of Finland’s lakes, the Iso Särkijärvi (3km). We light up a fire and grill some sausages. After lunch you can use our traditional sauna, go swimming, fishing or canoeing.
4. day: Relaxing day, you will have a free day. We have mountain bikes for free use or you can go to our private beach (3km) to enjoy the lake.
5. day: Today we’ll visit Manamansalo which is a picturesque island located in the Gulf of Bothnia, part of Finland’s Oulujoki Archipelago. Known for its stunning natural beauty, it is a key part of the Manamansalo Geopark, a UNESCO Global Geopark. The island boasts dramatic landscapes of the last ice age. We’ll drive there by car (1h) and make a hike and lunch there.
6. day: Today is our canoe-day. Depending on the conditions we go on the small river Latvajoki or on the lake Löytöjärvi.
7. day: Breakfast, transfer to Kajaani

Depending on weather conditions or the group it can be necessary to change parts of the program.
